Northbridge Library Keeps Twice-Monthly Knit And Yarn Sessions Going

Northbridge Library is continuing its free twice-monthly Knit and Yarn sessions, giving knitters and crocheters a regular place to work on projects, exchange ideas and chat with the neighbourhood group.

The sessions run from 2pm to 3:30pm on the first and third Wednesday of each month. All ability levels are welcome, including beginners, experienced participants and those in between.

Those attending are invited to bring a knitting or crochet project and share ideas, tips and techniques with others in the group. Participants need to supply their own wool and needles, although some spare wool is available for practising.

Remaining Northbridge Library Dates

The next session is scheduled for Wednesday, 2 September, followed by another on 16 September. Two sessions are also scheduled in each of the following three months: 7 and 21 October, 4 and 18 November, and 2 and 16 December 2026.

All remaining gatherings will be held at Northbridge Library, 258 Sailors Bay Road, Northbridge. The final scheduled session for the year is on Wednesday, 16 December from 2pm to 3:30pm.

One Booking Covers The Year

Attendance is free, and one booking covers the whole year. Once participants have registered their details, they can attend as many sessions as they choose rather than registering separately for each gathering.

Registration is available through Eventbrite. The arrangement allows participants to choose among the remaining dates while keeping the same first-and-third-Wednesday schedule through December.

A Similar Format In 2025

Northbridge Library also scheduled Knit and Yarn sessions on the first and third Wednesday of each month in 2025. That earlier program likewise welcomed beginners, experienced knitters and those in between, with participants asked to bring their own wool and needles.

Some spare wool was also available for practising during the 2025 program. An experienced knitter was available at those sessions to help interpret knitting patterns and teach and support novices.

The 2026 sessions retain the core focus on people bringing their knitting or crochet projects and sharing ideas, tips and techniques within the Northbridge neighbourhood group.
